AKADEMIA PRZYSZŁOŚCI
AKADEMIA PRZYSZŁOŚCI is a yearlong program of educational meetings for individual children growing up in difficult conditions who also have problems at school. Here, every child has the right to be successful!
We operate in 14 cities in Poland. This year we are looking after 1,095 pupils. Our basic standard is individual commitment: during weekly classes a personal tutor, i.e. a volunteer of Stowarzyszenie WIOSNA, helps a child cope with a specific school problem such as fractions or spelling. In addition to overcoming difficulties at school, the volunteer also supports the pupil in the discovery of their other dimensions. They try to prove that contrary to earlier difficulties, the child is unique and important!
We provide the 1 on 1 standard, i.e.:
• 1 pupil
• in 1 school year
• gets a tutorial once a week
• given by a volunteer, the child's personal tutor.
The tutor is usually a student, combining the roles of a mentor and an older brother, who gives the pupil time and attention. The tutor is to awaken in the child motivation to learn and to make him/her believe in the possibility of creative change.
During the weekly meetings volunteers help pupils in their lessons and share with them their knowledge and interests. They also do their best to provide every child with the experience of personal success according to the principle that every child has the RIGHT TO BE SUCCESSFUL!
By accompanying children in their educational adventure, we invest in their dreams and future. It is therefore no standard form of tutoring but rather a passion for discovering the potential in each pupil individually!
How can you help?
This year, it is not possible for people living abroad to help Polish children directly. However, you can support our work enabling us to do even more.
• Donate– this way we can target more people in need, involve and train even more volunteers to introduce real change in their communities;
• Support us regularly – by regularly supporting our activities you allow us to expand and contribute to the delivery of intelligent aid, you impact the lives of thousands of people, giving them a chance for a better future.
